1. Research Assistant - permanent contract.
Ideal for a Masters student, returning to Thailand for full time permanent employment.
Modern working environment, with unique Industry-University collaborative features.
University salary position, with top-up from existing 3rd party funding from National Instruments (NI). 36-39 KBaht (equivalent gross), depending on qualifications.
The RA will run the Structural Dynamics Lab (SDL) facilities, support R&D projects, and deliver on the existing 3rd party funded contract, after completing an extensive training programme.
The RA will spend 50% time working closely with NI and their clients, especially in the area of vibration and Condition Monitoring, and support the collaborative mechanisms between SDL and NI.
Preferred candidates should have vibration experience, ideally at Masters Thesis level, including hands-on practical and experiment skills, as well as CAE skills, such as Labview, FEA, and modal test and analysis specialist packages.
Candidates lacking in one or two specific areas should be prepared to follow intense training.
Career track might include increased participation and higher levels of responsibility in other funded work with additional salary top-ups, and/or switching over to a PhD.
2. Research Assistant - temporary.
One to two positions.
Ideal for a graduate, returning to Thailand to start job hunting, where the job could start after this temporary position ends.
Project funded position, 10-20KBaht depending on qualifications, experience, proven capability.
Will work within one large ongoing project, to design, build, test a Light Gas Gun facility.
Will be embedded into a team, with responsibilities and work packages to be defined during application process.
3. Lab based R&D internships.
One to two positions.
Ideal for current students returning to Thailand during their semester break.
Unpaid. Benefits would be high quality R&D experience, CV points and a thorough detailed reference matching achievements.
Various projects are possible, depending on detailed current capability, experience and the status of their studies.
May be embedded in teams or work independently, but under supervision.

The general topic is mechanical engineering vibration, and related areas such as modal testing, condition monitoring, non-linear dynamics and impact.
Candidates must have good quality English language skills, ready to work for a Native English language supervisor.
